Happy Friday! I can't believe March is already over and Spring is here. It's bittersweet because while I'd like to rewind time so I can have more productive days, I'm also excited to get going on my newest project (more on that next week ;)

Welcome to the second edition of "Favorite Things". In these posts I'll share things I've discovered throughout the month that I think are worth checking out. I may have watched too many things this month...

Maysoon Zayid: I got 99 problems ... palsy is just one

Kicking things off with a TED talk and this chick is a badass! If you’re looking for a kick in the ass and some inspirational goodness, give this a watch. I won’t say much else…

Procrastination 101: It's Not About Feeling Like It

This week has not been as productive as I’d have liked it to be and that got me thinking about procrastination and how to push past it. After doing a bit of googling (as one does in these times…), I came across this article that resonated with me. It focused on behavior and taking smaller steps which will hopefully lead you to eventually complete the looming task.

Abstract: The Art of Design

I'm sure most of you have already heard about this series on Netflix that uncovers the stories behind some of the most influential artists across a few different industries. If you've been on the fence, I'm here to say give it a shot. I wasn't disappointed at all.

Cindy Gallop: Women and People of Color in Advertising

I really enjoyed watching this closing keynote from the 5th Annual 3% Conference. In this talk, Cindy shares a few tips on how to make changes to your work life, career path, opportunities, and the future of Advertising. All of which I think can apply to any industry.

Yuko Shimizo: Money or Control - Pick One

I think Yuko's talk is for anyone struggling to choose between doing work for clients that they enjoy vs the alternative. She talks about the big question we should all ask ourselves at the beginning of our career, "What kind of artist do [we] want to be?” and having a clear picture of what that looks like.

Tina Roth Eisenberg: Don’t Complain, Create.

I’ve always admired and been inspired by Tina Roth Eisenberg also known as “swissmiss” on the interwebs. In her talk she talks about how she discovered her "superpower" and what drove her to create the projects that have blown up over the years. It was fun hearing the backstory of her work.
